When In Rome!

Being able to walk around inside of one of the most historical places in the world was absolutely AMAZING! The first stop on our 8 hour excursion was at the Colossuem: The Colosseum was built between 72 A.D and 80 A.D, made of stone and concrete the Colosseum is the largest amphitheater in the world …and I was there! This was a place that I had only saw on TV or read about in history books and to be standing there, touching the stones, and listening to every sound was surreal. This concrete and stone building had 80 entrances and approximately 50,000 spectators who would watch sporting events and games like gladiatorial combats, wild animal hunts, and ship naval battles.
